Welcome and thank you for visiting my Future Days Counselling and Psychotherapy website.
How I work / Philosophy
I believe everyone has the basic right to enjoy life to the full. We all experience set-backs but our thoughts, feelings and behaviour determine how we cope and what level of fulfilment we experience from life. Through my counselling, psychotherapy, supervision and mediation work in Cornwall over the last 20 years, I have been committed to helping my clients significantly improve their quality of life.
I help my clients to learn new skills, awarenesses, beliefs and strategies that not only get them through their current difficulty but also equip them to deal with issues in ‘future days.’ For me this is what counselling is really about. Put simply I believe a professional should show someone how to use a tool for themselves rather than do the work for them.
I am a relaxed and friendly character, although I can be enthusiastic and assertive when circumstance requires. My FREE initial telephone consultation gives you the chance to discuss your needs; completely free of obligation.
It takes a lot of courage to ask for help and the decision to seek counselling or psychotherapy can be a difficult one. I treat all my clients with respect and kindness.
Common issues that Counselling and Psychotherapy can help with:-
Couples Counselling / Relationship Issues
Family Issues, plus many more
With these issues I aim to work with “Thinking, Feeling and Behaviour” – to nurture an understanding of self and others; improving quality of life. I pro-actively encourage clients to make new decisions, improve relationships and promote their happiness.
I can successfully treat trauma symptoms such as PTSD, flashbacks, phobias and anxiety, utilising EMDR, Psychotherapy, and traditional counselling methods. For more information, see my EMDR page.
